Use a Source Workspace#
Complete the environment setup on each
machine used for DisplayPort development. Keep the same ISAAC_ROS_WS workspace
layout for the robot, model preparation, and simulation.
Activate and Source the Workspace#
Open the Isaac ROS environment and source your built packages in each terminal:
isaac-ros activate
source ${ISAAC_ROS_WS}/install/setup.bash
Check that the workspace supplies the manipulation package:
ros2 pkg prefix isaac_ros_manipulation_bringup
The result should be under ${ISAAC_ROS_WS}/install. If it is not, rebuild the
source workspace and source its setup script before launching the tutorial.
Build Dependencies#
Place the required Isaac ROS repositories and their source dependencies under
${ISAAC_ROS_WS}/src. Resolve system dependencies with rosdep --ignore-src
so packages already present in the source workspace are built there.
Follow the package and model setup for the
source-build commands and targeted FoundationPose and Segment Anything (SAM)
preparation.
Keep Terminal Settings Consistent#
Use the same ROS_DOMAIN_ID and the tutorial’s middleware settings in every
terminal. Follow the DisplayPort simulation tutorial
for simulator settings, or the physical-robot tutorial
for Zenoh and robot configuration.
